New Book, Some Blogs, And A Society.

A book titled The Perils of Diversity: Immigration and Human Nature by Byron M. Roth seems to be worth checking out. From the book description we read:

Byron M. Roth argues that the current debate over immigration policy is unlikely to produce a satisfying outcome since it takes place uninformed by the science of evolutionary psychology. He thoroughly reviews theory and research indicating that the success of any policy of mass immigration will be profoundly constrained by fundamental features of human nature. Prominent among those features is a natural bias toward one s own kind and a certain wariness of others, making harmony in multi-ethnic societies problematic at best. The problems for such societies are compounded when groups differ in ability and temperament in non-trivial ways. The author explores the history of immigration to the United States prior to World War II and contrasts it with post-war immigration in the West. The evidence marshaled makes clear that the earlier immigration experience of the United States is so different from current patterns that it cannot provide a useful template for understanding and assessing those patterns. In addition, Roth addresses the disturbingly undemocratic nature of the regime of mass immigration imposed by authorities on the citizens of all western nations in defiance of their clearly expressed wishes. He shows that the chasm between elite views and public opinion is so deep that current policies can only be maintained by an increasingly totalitarian suppression of dissent that undermines the very foundations of western democracy.

I don't give much credence to evolutionary psychology and, for me, this may undermine much of the thrust of the book but some observations of his I do share. They are 1) that current immigration patterns are incomparable to immigration patterns of the past since the world of today is not the world of yesteryear, 2) that immigration is being undemocratically imposed on the citizens of western nations, 3) that elite opinion operates in defiance of the majority, and 4) "that current policies can only be maintained by an increasingly totalitarian suppression of dissent".

Two blogs are also worth bookmarking. One is Blazing Car Fur. The other is called The Dominion of Canada. Both address sundry topics of a political nature from a conservative perspective which occasionally include immigration matters.

Lastly, there's the Canadian Culture and Integration Society. I don't know how active they are but they appear to be a grassroots lobby group pushing for immigration reforms that the Conservative Party of Canada should be perusing if they were not just conservative in name only.

It's certainly not the wishes of the public to be swamped by mass immigration, true. I believe the prediction that more and more oppressive measures will have to be taken to stifle dissent.

This whole thing hinges on the general and particuarly the political acceptance of international capitalism, the ideology of which is firmly embedded in our society. That drives the "logic" behind immigration, which is really the logic of more benefits for big business.

And I discuss immigration moderately often as well.

Thank you for the recommendation. I think you should look into evolutionary psychology a little further. The science is starting to line up behind it, and it really is Occam's Razor when it comes to explaining differing levels of performance and temperament between population groups.

I find it rather amusing and telling that the blog seems to be frequented almost exclusively by admitted ethnocentrists. I suppose they'll want and laud all the material justifying their obvious racism that they can get.

Can't think of a counter argument can you?

I'm considering deleting these kinds of comments. They contribute nothing to the conversation.

A counterargument to what precisely? You are promoting material that justifies your xenophobia; I could just as easily post the titles of books that make the opposite argument, citing human ability to recognize and seek out physical attractiveness being universal, for one thing.

Again, what I've pointed out elsewhere on this blog is that you fail to realize that the Conservative party does not seek to protect your ethnic or cultural interests, it exists to protect the interests of businesses, and voting for them out of some ideological solidarity is naivete at best. If you want a party whose platform is "white people only belong here," form a Canadian BNP and be done with it, you'll get farther than expecting a party who panders to the interests of military and Big Business to represent you.

I laughed out loud after reading this patronizing drivel.

As I just commented in a previous post, these morally self-righteous agitators do provide a certain perverse form of entertainment.

The following is one of my favourite quotes written by a black woman, named Elizabeth Wright.

"Over the years, as Whites have worked to defend themselves against the charge of “racism”, they have validated this slur by giving it greater importance than it deserves, and thereby helped to institutionalize it as the world’s greatest 'sin'."

In addition, this short video from a Black American pastor offers a few words of advice for more than just a few White people.

Unfortunately, it takes a couple of Black people to inform Whites of what should pass as every day common sense.

However, since Marxist-indoctrinated "political-correctness" entered the scene, cowardly White people often tremble at the mere thought of offering any opinion that might "offend" despite the truth of the matter.

Here's another ethnocentric website to amuse you:

Association of BLACK Law Enforcers based right here in the Toronto area.

Not only does this BLACK organization fully support its own ethnocentric values, they boast of becoming our "leaders for the future".

I could dredge up countless other ethnocentric organizations for you, but you seem fixated on Canadians who favour reading this website.

Canada is taking in more immigrants than it needs.

Immigration should not disrupt the demographic balance of the country.

Immigration cannot reverse Canada's aging demographic trend or solve labour shortages.

Immigration is harming Canadians' incomes and living standards.

There's more but that will do. Pick one.

You are promoting material that justifies your xenophobia;

Blah, blah blah. Xenophobia has little to do with it. It's just that I like living in Canada and not in reasonable facsimiles of China or India. If I wanted to live in China or India then I'd move there but that is easier said than done. You see both countries have restrictive immigration systems if any. India has a "brown only" policy but if white Canadians want the same for Canada Indians get in a huff and puff. You see Canadians are expected to live by a standard no one else expects of themselves so calling me xenophobic is pretty much calling me a member of the human race.

Again, what I've pointed out elsewhere on this blog is that you fail to realize that the Conservative party does not seek to protect your ethnic or cultural interests, it exists to protect the interests of businesses, and voting for them out of some ideological solidarity is naivete at best.

I agree with you.

If you want a party whose platform is "white people only belong here," form a Canadian BNP and be done with it, you'll get farther than expecting a party who panders to the interests of military and Big Business to represent you.

So corralling public opinion and pressuring the government won't work? It seems to work for the immigration industry and immigrant voting blocks.

India, a country with a population of 1 billion+. China, a country with a population of 1billion+. I honestly can't figure out why their immigration systems are so strict, or why North and South Korea are currently in the process of discussing liberalizing theirs.

Well, for one thing, I was not aware of the existence of this group so how on Earth could I have been opposed to it? Whereas you take top billing on Google. Now that you've mentioned it, I think I WILL go over there and give them a piece of my mind, thanks for the heads-up.

I do not live in America, doesn't concern me, not interested, sorry. America has its own set of concerns, if I were American I'd start with "numbers of citizens who own a gun and can purchase one at Walmart."
